Overlooking St Julians like Saruman’s tower, and next to the aptly named Merlin Crescent, the Cent is truly a magical place, full of history and beer. Rumour has it that it was once the site of King Arthur’s round table, and some historians point to nearby Caerleon’s rich roman heritage as evidence. Indeed, the name ‘Centurion’ is no coincidence, for every weekend a legion of warriors descend to re-enact some of the empire’s most famous battles. The pub's motto? 'At my signal...unleash hell'.
