best pub in Risca

The commercial is "the best pub in Risca". It was recently refurbished and is now a pleasure to eat there. The menu offers good pub food, I've had the mixed grill several times and at £5.95 it was great value for money. The good thing about the commercial is that all though they do serve food it is still a great drinking pub. The outdoor screen and exterior speakers meant that smokers didn't miss the poor perfomance of the Wales / England match the other weekend. 5 star Pub.

The only "proper " pub left around , where old and young mix alike , no problems with watching all sports , listening to music , meeting people , and a very friendly bunch of staff . No food , as it is a meeting , drinking , and smoking pub , with a variety of real ales , lagers , beers and alcopops . You never see any trouble , that all moves up the road after 10 pm .
