Hey, I remember going here in 2005, I haven't been in town for a few years, and it looks like all the comments on this once great local have dried up - is it still running?

My favourite pub in the world! I went there last night and i will probably go tonight for pub quiz and some free munch!! I love everything about this pub!! I love the beer, and the house doubles! I have met some of the nicest people at this pub. Always greeted with a smile! Excellent service, can't fault it! Looking forward to christmas, because the atmosphere is guaranteed to be out of this world. It's a home from home for me!

Prices are very reasonable on drinks (especially house doubles, and special offers). Full of friendly faces it really doesn't take long to feel at home. A range of ages, really works. Lots of regulars that give pub a local feel, but not an unwelcoming regulars pub, always lots of new faces which soon become regulars. Good place to get away from the 'hussle and bussle' of town and enjoy the cheaper drink prices in a welcoming atmosphere.

Excellent service, welcoming atmosphere!!! This pub is so good because it has loads of character. There are people of lots of different ages which works well(but nobody too young!!).I have met so many cool people here. Good for a quiet drink or a lively night out. Tuesday is quiz night where you find yourself munching on complimentary food!! Can't fault it! This pub is really close to town too so it's a perfect place to start your night.

Would recommend this pub to everyone!

try this one!

Best Pub In Newport!

Wow! I've never been so pleasantly suprised as I was after a night in this bar where I now consider myself a regular. The excellent service coupled with a welcoming atmosphere that I'd never experienced in a town pub ensured a real local feel. Bailey's is a place where young (although not too young!!) and old mix unbelievably easily and everybody is at ease with one another. Even on week nights complementary food has been known to arrive from the kitchen (Always on tuesday for the quiz!).

Fantastic

A regulars/locals pub, but so friendly it doesn't take you long to become a regular! No real ale anymore, but the atmosphere of the place is amazing. A mix of ages, but thankfully no kids, and loads of characters. Shows all the footy and occasionally the rugby.
