The food at the British Raj is very very very good, an extensive menu, v. v. tasty food and excellent service. The staff are friendly and take pride in delivering excellent quality food every time. I would particularly recommend the lamb tikka and the king prawn jalfrezi is just heavenly!

Couldn't disagree more with the review below! The Menu is extensive and excellent, with a wide range of bangladeshi specialities as well as all the usual curry dishes. A touch on the pricey side but that's only if you eat there, there is a 20% discount on take aways. The restaurant is stylish and service is great. Food was really tasty. If you like indian cuisine then you won't be disappointed!

after all the hype on tv and that, my girlfreind and i thought we try it,having arrived and taken to an empty room and waiting 20min to be seated,after staring at a very expensive poor menu of hardly nothing more than below average menu,we orderd and within 5minutes the food arrived O My GOD,tasteless,bland most boring indian food we have ever eaten! and at a price! we quickly paid up and left .enuff said! never again,any one recomending this place,do not know indian food,GooD LucK.
